It's not hard to please filmmakers for their red carpet premieres in such a beautiful venue. And, TIFF Technical Manager, Andrei' Gravelle does an excellent job in meeting and/or exceeding SMPTE standards at Roy Thomson Hall. This is a demanding, yet fun, festival. The IATSE Local 58 crew at Roy Thomson Hall includes Head Property Master Gord Henderson, Head Carpenter Rod Karpel, Head Electrician Steven McDonald, Head Sound Engineer Jim Thibeau, and projectionist Andy Earne. We were joined this year by top notch technician Charles Nascimento.
