Michael Moore's super festival in a super town populated by super people. This festival is truly special. New movies and retrospectives in 35mm, the way they were meant to be shown. We also screen HDcam, digibeta, and betasp. Locals even turn out some original DVDs for screening prior to the features. (I know, DVDs are not an exhibition format, but this is Traverse City and the locals are as much a part of the festival as the movies.) Venues include the newly renovated and reopened State Theatre which has been purchased by the festival and runs year round, turning out super (there's that word again) grosses which continue to astound the industry.
